I've always loved music. I started learning guitar in middle school around the same time I quit playing clarinet in band. Since then I've gone down rabbit holes to learn different types of guitar - acoustic, electric, slide, and other instruments including bass, mandolin, and ukelele. I also took some music production classes to learn how to make EDM on Ableton Live. Recently, I've even started taking bagpipe lessons! There's something particularly special about live music. Ever since I could drive, I took long road trips to catch my favorite bands playing live. I was lucky enough to travel and work in the music festival circuit after undergrad and have more than a few fun stories from those days. These images capture how the joy of sound and motion cross all borders and cultures. Music transcends class; images on this page include a street busker in Santa Monica as well as a Vienna symphony. Music allows us to express our human experience, together.
